Letter to the Schenevus community from BOE President Tom Snyder

In late December, the BOE appointed Mr. Ed Shultis to serve as a temporary Interim Superintendent of Schools to serve during the transition to a new long-term Interim Superintendent of Schools. The BOE has now appointed Mr. Jeff Bennett to serve as the long-term interim Superintendent of Schools until a permanent Superintendent is appointed.

Mr. Bennett is a retired administrator with many years of experience as teacher, Dean of Students, Principal and Superintendent. Mr. Bennett’s tenure as our school leader will begin immediately.

The Board of Education wishes to thank Mr. Shultis for stepping in to ensure a smooth transition to the long-term Interim Superintendent.

To initiate the search for a new permanent Superintendent, the Board of Education has appointed Dr. Catherine Huber, Otsego Northern Catskills BOCES District Superintendent, as search consultant for the position of Superintendent of Schools.
